What is the best thing that has ever happened to you?

That’s a toughie. I don’t think I could choose just one experience as the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I’m a firm believer that everything happens to serve a purpose or to teach us a lesson, so even things that most people might think of as bad things have been, all in all, really good experiences for me.

I think, if I had to narrow it down to one life milestone, it would be having been able to move out and into residence in university and really getting the chance to experience what adult life has to offer, and, more so, what the world has to offer.

What is your favorite part about being a woman?

I love everything about being a woman. We have this immense power and drive to do whatever we want, and the world truly is open to us.

Sure, there are some societal setbacks (wage gap, I’m looking at you), but society as a whole is advancing leaps and bounds in the direction of equality. I think my favourite thing about being a woman would have to be the fact that I can be everything I want to be, all at the same time.

On the one hand, I’m a model, and I enjoy broadcasting positive attitudes towards femininity and sexuality, but on the other hand, I’m also a serious academic, bookworm, and artist. I love being able to be so many things all at once, and have that be okay.

Who is your favorite role model?

I don’t think I really have one role model. I don’t really have anyone that I look up to as the end-all and be-all of success. I like taking little bits of wisdom from lots of different people, and emulating small parts of lots of other people’s lifestyles and ideologies.

There are so many different opinions and views in the world, and I like to take bits and pieces from lots of different places and bring them into my own life.

What is your dream in life?

All I want I life is to be happy and successful. I think those two things come hand-in-hand. If you’re truly happy, then you’re succeeding in life.

If you’re not happy, then all of the money, fame, and fortune in the world won’t make you successful. I’m not really sure what the future looks like for me, but those two qualities are big goals for me.

Are you following your dream?

I like to think I’m taking baby steps everyday to follow my dream.

Everything that I do contributes to my current happiness and towards building a future where I’m happy and successful, too.

Have you ever been published in a print or digital magazine before?

I haven’t, well until now, at least.

What’s your favorite clothing brand / store?

Does Victoria’s Secret count? I sure hope so. I love love love anything lace.

What is your “happy place”?

My happy place has got to be anywhere where it’s sunny and scenic. I love the Canadian Rockies because there’s this wonderful sense of tranquility that can put even the most stressed mind at ease.

I spent most of my childhood outdoors, so the mountains bring back good memories for me. My only complaint is that in the winter, I can’t get outside much. Well, I can, but I choose not to.

What’s most important to you?

Friends. 100%. I would not be where I am today without the wonderful people I have supporting me in my life. I think I’d go crazy without being able to laugh until 3am with my roommate about the dumbest things, or dance until the club closes with my best friend.

I cherish every person that I keep in my life, and they all contribute greatly to my happiness and well-being.

What’s the worst line a guy has ever used on you?

I’ve actually been collecting the bad pickup lines that I get. Here are a few:

“Do you get into a lot of fights? ‘Cause you’re a knockout.”

“Are you a poster? Because I want to pin you on a wall.”

And my personal favourite:

“Are you a toaster? Cause I want to kill myself. No wait I messed that up. Are you a toaster? Cause I want to take a bath with you.”

What is your dream car?

Oh goodness. If there’s one thing I’m not, it’s a car girl. I have no idea how they work, but I can appreciate a pretty one when I see one.

I’m actually a big fan of vintage cars in cool colours, so probably something vintage and turquoise.

Have you ever traveled out of your home country?

Oh I sure have! I’ve been all over the States, to Europe, and to the Caribbean. A few years back I went on a road trip down the West Coast and got to see Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and that was an amazing experience. I’ve been to Paris, France, and that was absolutely magical.

I hope that one day I can study in France and really immerse myself in the language and culture.

Are you a tom-boy, girly-girl, or both?

I’m definitely a blend of both. I love dressing up and being fancy. I love makeup and dresses and high heels, lace and lingerie, but I also love comfort, and you can often find me in leggings, a hoodie, and sneakers. Oh I sure do love my sneakers.

Do you have a favorite Kardashian sister?

Kim 100%. Everyone always hates on Kim but she’s truly amazing woman. She might actually be my role model, come to think of it.

She’s very empowered, and has built a massive empire for herself. She’s a savvy business woman with her makeup line and game franchise, but also is the epitome of glamour and fashion. She embraces her sexuality but still demands to be taken seriously.

Because of all this, I can overlook the drama of the Kardashians.

Have you ever gotten plastic surgery?

I’ve never gotten surgery, no, and I’m not sure if I ever plan to. If I were to, I’d probably get a boob-job and go up a cup size. It would be nice to have cleavage once in a while.

What do you want to be remembered as?

A good friend. I want to be remembered as someone who made people laugh, and who never took herself too seriously. I want to be remembered as someone who brought joy into the lives of others.
